USCIS has updated Form I-129 as part of the new H-2 Final Rule, introducing stricter compliance requirements and enhanced worker protections for H-2A and H-2B programs. While the changes aim to improve program integrity, many employers are left with vague guidance and increased risk of denials due to unclear expectations.

DOL has announced their annual update to allowable meal charges as well as updated minimum and maximum travel-related subsistence reimbursements.

In 1996, the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA) was enacted to protect workers by establishing standards for employment related to wages, transport, disclosures, and recordkeeping along with any labor contractors to register with the USDOL. 

H-2A wage rates for 2025.

USCIS has issued a final rule as of January 31st regarding fee increases to H-2A, H-2B, and immigrant visa applications. These new fees have gone into effect on April 1st, 2024.
